Convert images to PDF in seconds

Need to send photos of documents as one file? This image to PDF converter combines JPG, PNG, WebP and GIF images into a PDF, right in your browser. It is perfect for phone photos of forms, ID cards, receipts, handwritten notes, certificates and assignments.

Features:

  • Multiple images become one PDF, one image per page
  • Reorder pages with the arrow buttons
  • Page size: A4, US Letter or same as the image
  • Automatic orientation: landscape photos get landscape pages
  • Margins: none, small or large
  • Images are centered and scaled to fit without stretching

How to convert images to PDF

  1. Choose or drop your images. You can add more in several batches.
  2. Put them in the right order.
  3. Choose the page size, orientation and margin.
  4. Click Convert to PDF and download your file.

Tips for better results

  • Take photos in good light, straight above the page, so text is readable.
  • Crop out the background first with our Image Cropper.
  • Large photos make large PDFs. A modern phone photo can be 3-5 MB. Shrink them with the Image Compressor before converting, or compress the finished file with Compress PDF.
  • Choose A4 for documents you will print or submit, and same as image for photo albums or designs.

Who uses an image to PDF converter?

Students use it to submit handwritten assignments as one file. Job seekers combine photos of certificates and degrees. Small business owners send receipts and delivery notes to their accountant, and travelers keep passport and ticket photos together in one easy-to-find PDF.

Formats explained

JPG and PNG images are placed into the PDF as they are, so their quality does not change. WebP and GIF images are converted to PNG inside your browser first, because the PDF format does not support them directly. Animated GIFs use only their first frame.

Settings explained

MarginNone, Small, LargeSmall or large margins look neater when printed; none for full-bleed photos

Turning phone photos into a clean document

Many people photograph documents with their phone instead of using a scanner. For a better PDF:

  1. Use good light and avoid shadows from your hand or phone.
  2. Hold the phone flat above the page so the text is not slanted.
  3. Crop away the table or background with the Image Cropper.
  4. Reduce the size of very large photos with the Image Resizer; 1500-2000 pixels on the long side is enough for a readable A4 page.
  5. Add the photos here in the right order, choose A4 and Small margin, and create the PDF.
  6. If the file is still too large for an upload portal, run it through Compress PDF.

Common uses

  • Submitting CNIC, passport or certificate copies for jobs, banks and admissions.
  • Sending receipts and bills for reimbursement.
  • Turning handwritten notes or assignments into one file.
  • Creating a simple photo portfolio or product catalogue.
  • Archiving screenshots of payments or chats.

Image formats supported

This tool accepts JPG, PNG and WebP, which covers almost every photo and screenshot. iPhone photos in HEIC format need to be converted first; on the iPhone, sharing a photo to the Files app as "Most Compatible" or changing Camera > Formats saves new photos as JPG. You can also change formats with the Image Converter for files your browser can open.

Private by design

The PDF is built in your browser with the open-source pdf-lib library. Your photos of ID cards, bank documents or private notes never leave your device. To join this new PDF with other existing PDFs, use Merge PDF.

Making the PDF smaller

Photos taken on modern phones are often 3-6 MB each, so a PDF of ten photos can easily reach 40 MB. To keep files small enough for email and upload portals:

  1. Before adding images, reduce their dimensions to about 1600-2000 pixels on the long side with the Image Resizer. Text documents stay perfectly readable at this size.
  2. Compress them at quality 70-80 with the Image Compressor.
  3. Create the PDF here.
  4. If it is still too large, use Compress PDF on the finished file.

As a guide, a single A4 document page built from a well-resized photo is usually around 150-400 KB, so even a ten-page document can stay under a few megabytes. Smaller files upload faster on mobile data and are less likely to be rejected by strict portals.

Quick checklist before you send the PDF

  • Pages are in the right order and the right way up.
  • Every page is readable when zoomed in, including small print and stamps.
  • Personal details you do not need to share are covered or cropped out.
  • The file name is clear, for example Sara-Ahmed-CNIC-Front-Back.pdf.
  • The file size is within the limit of the portal or email service.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are my photos uploaded?

No. The PDF is created on your device.

How many images can I add?

There is no fixed limit. Dozens of photos work well on most devices.

Can I convert HEIC photos from iPhone?

Only if your browser can open HEIC. Safari on iPhone and Mac usually can. On other devices, convert them to JPG first.

Will the PDF be searchable?

No. Images become pages of pictures. Text recognition (OCR) is not included.

Will image quality drop in the PDF?

Images are placed in the PDF without heavy re-compression, so they look like the originals. Very large images make large PDFs.

Can I reorder the images?

Yes. Drag the images in the list to change their order before creating the PDF.

Can I make the PDF text searchable?

Not with this tool. Searchable text needs OCR (optical character recognition), which is a separate process.
